Fort Carson iSportsman operates wildlife and recreation management on most of the remote maneuver sites. Some of these areas can accommodate RV's, as well as small trailers and tent camping. Camping is only allowed in specified areas, on specified dates. You would need to check with Fort Carson iSportsman (https://fortcarson.isportsman.net/camping.aspx) to learn what is open when. Of course, hunting is the primary sport for these areas.

The camp has 105 wooded sites for camping, all with electrical, water and sewage hookups. There are also 10 tent sites. In addition, there are picnic tables, barbecue grills, trash receptacles, level parking spaces and many pull-through sites. The FamCamp is open year-round depending on weather conditions.

The FAMCAMP is sited adjacent the base's outdoor recreation area which includes a lake stocked with trout and other native species. The facility will provide a unique opportunity for travelers on their way to bigger vacation areas and to those that want to visit base personnel while staying in a campground setting.
