13-15 May 2017
Checked into Air Capital Inn as instructed and was greeted by a very pleasant and professional retired Chief! Our in-check was quick and without issues, but we were very disappointed as we made reservations early January for a 13-15 May visit and still ended up in the old section (FamCamp 2). FamCamp 1 sites are pull-through with full hookup and well-maintained. FamCamp 2 is old, unkempt, obviously had not been mowed (this year?), back-in and no sewer connection. The dumpster was overflowing, stuffed full with a mattress on top. One of the campers had a weed whacker and was attempting to knock down the high grass and offered to do our site. Power worked good and the water was good. There is a sewer dump station nearby on the way out of FamCamp 1. The price is very reasonable at $14/night. It is too bad they don't maintain this site. It looks lost and forgotten.
