Okay, after last winter and this winter I have about had it with our upper Midwest winters. :( Since I just retired from the military and the husband's job is somewhat portable, I've been thinking it would be nice to pack up the ponies and the puppies and head south for 2 or 3 months. I've looked at a few RV horse park type places but MAN are they expensive! I am wondering if any of you all know of any short term horse boarding places in say FL, LA, MS, TX that are near any of these bases with military campgrounds or campgrounds that have horse boarding available. ??

Ocala, Florida is horse country. Do some research on campgrounds in that area. Here is one that has horse sites and water/elec for RV.. RV Park Reviews listed nightly charges of $22 per night.
