Eglin AFB covers 464,000 acres in Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. An Eglin permit is required to access the 250,000 acres of the Eglin reservation conditionally open to public recreation. The Eglin AFB Natural Resources Branch office (commonly known as Jackson Guard) maintains this recreation area for numerous recreational opportunities. Falcon's Nest FamCamp is the newest top-of-the-line Famcamp in Air Combat Command. There are 20 ten-foot by 58-foot recreational vehicle sites complete with water, sewer and electrical hook-ups. Each site is accompanied by a 10-foot by 20-foot picnic pad with table and barbecue grill.
Located on 655 acres of magnificent mountain woodlands within the Pike National Forest at an altitude of 9,000+ feet on Colorado’s Front Range just north-west of Colorado Springs. Abundant wildlife and three fishing lakes. Enjoy a mountain getaway with a real backwoods feeling yet within driving distance to many area attractions. A wide range of support facilities is available at the US Air Force Academy, Peterson AFB, and Fort Carson.
