This place has a lot of "potential" for longer stays with kids; several playgrounds, a lake, pool and lots of space to run. However, I agree with others' reviews; heavy use by "homesteaders" and common areas are old and need updating. Grounds need better maintenance.
This is a good FamCamp that although it is near the airport, the traffic is light. There are trees for each site but they are not quite mature enough for adequate shade in the summer. Management was superb.
Beautiful location but facilities were not maintained. Close to half of sites occupied by long term. Common areas dirty. Unscooped poop is common. New facility manager so hopefully improvements are in the future.
Agree with previous. To expand some, about half the sites are large pull-thru. Others are side-by-each, and not as roomy but there were larger trailers with slides in those. I think all the sites had concrete pads, some had nice trees/shade.
The camp grounds is located on Lake Nasworthy just south of the city. The location is very nice and the weather is good most of the winter. It is located in West Texas and is warm to hot in the summer. The people in the Office are great and at $10.00 a nite is a great place to spend some time. The camp is in the middle of up grading the power to 50 amp and has up graded the overflow to 30 amps already. So, if you are in the area please stop and stay awhile.
