Went to Gate 2, sign said RV's must be inspected. Pulled into line, Airmen were polite but confused as to why we were coming thru the commercial gate. Told them about the sign, they shrugged, and let us go. FamCamp was down a washboard road. 10 mi speed limit was more than we could handle. Camp is in a small depression -- hills on all sides. Very pleasant surroundings where pronghorn and white tail deer abound. Cheyenne Frontier Days in progress, and camp was full, so we got overflow -- a field with many rodent holes, but adequate. No trash cans. Observed several dogs running around unleashed. One dog was tied to a picnic table next to a tent, and the owner didn't show up for over 5 hours. The old Ft Russell housing was impressive -- a sight to behold. Worth the visit just to see that.
