My wife and I were in Oak Harbor for a short visit in 2015 and looked at this park while on base. The location and beauty of this place put it high on our list of places to visit while full timing. Now we're full timing. Called to see about reservations for April 2020 and was told, by Greg, that the monthly rate for non water front is $840 regardless of the month. Since we have relatives we'd like to see on Whidbey we're still headed that way however will be staying at another park close by. We'll be saving over $200... The more we get exposed to military RV parks the more we think they're not a better deal than civilian RV parks especially now that they've become (with the exception of Davis Monthan in Tuscon and Sheppard Annex on Lake Texoma) extensions of family housing for active duty personnel.

This place is beautiful and well-maintained. Be prepared for lots of aircraft noise that goes on for hours.  We were not as enamored with the host as most others seem to be, but that just reflects our experience.

The view is beautiful. The camp hosts have done a great job beautifying the campground. There are flowers every where and it is so beautiful. The bathrooms and laundry rooms are clean and nice. The yurts are clean but cold in Washington weather. My major complaint is the two camp hosts. Both are better suited to not dealing with customers. Both are very sarcastic and rude and need customer service training. Definitely not a friendly welcome. I will not stay here again because of them.

Nice park. Jogging trail runs beside the park and is great for walking dogs. Ten minute walk to Activity Center for checking email. Some permanent campers, although against regs. Can eat in the mess hall for $3.00. Good food and nice atmosphere. GREAT Chiefs Club.
