S.P. left this review using the Directory sftware: - We recently spent about a week at the "new" Cliffside RV Park on NAS Whidbey Island. The park has been completely redone since the old days of gravel and grass parking. There are 59 new sites with W/E/S hookups (no cable or Internet though). The view is great and the sites are well put together. All are back-ins though a few are really pull-ins for Class A's so you get the view from the front. All sites are pre-assigned when you get there but the staff and Hosts will work with you to move to a better view site if one becomes available. There is a grill and picnic table at each site. There is not much to complain about other than poor cell, and TV coverage (no cable). Over the air antennas get mostly Canadian stations. Good satellite sites. Internet access via our Verizon Jet Pack was spotty. You will need to get used to jet noise since it is an operational base. There is a lot of pattern work and depending on the duty runway you will have a lot of flyovers. The P-3s are not too bad but the EF/A-18s and EA-6s will get to you on occasion. One caution for those that travel with small pets, be aware of the Bald Eagles that live in the area. The base has a good Commissary and Exchange located on the old Sea Plane Base near downtown Oak Harbor. There is diesel and propane on the main base. Site costs are $20-$25 per night depending on season. Yes, they charge more when the rain stops. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to return whenever we are in the area.
