We stayed at site 33 on the point. We also rented site 37 for some family with us. The area is typical to Lake Martin and quite beautiful. This campground is a tale of two totally different facilities managed by the 42nd ABW at Maxwell AFB. Lake Pippin down towards Destin Florida is pretty well maintained or was the last time I was there. This site you can tell WAS nice but has fallen into disrepair. The two bathhouses I looked at were pretty nasty. The one for our area was being refurbished or repaired. The dump station had a ratty piece of plywood covering the sewer inlet which had water visible. The site we had was in a hole that required some ingenuity to level the trailer. The other reviews covered the deficiencies pretty well. The staff was nice enough, but there's an apparent lack of funding here. The boat prices jumped to double what they were taking an inexpensive rental into commercial territory. We'll likely camp back here, but only at select sites. Many of the sites look like a woodland trail with a power panel sticking up. Not clearly marked. Money needs to flow into this place and fast. The trailers that are available for rent in various conditions with one having a rotting floor at the entrance.
