Directions
From SR-1, take San Antonio Rd. West. This road is located 2.5 miles North from the Vandenberg AFB Main Gate. Continue West on San Antonio Rd for 1.9 miles, then turn right onto Richmond Rd. Go North for 1.2 miles, then turn left onto Grant Rd. Heading West again, the campground is 2.3 miles down the road. Self check-in.

A semi-remote campground located off-base at the picnic area. Plenty of room for tents, small RV's, small trailers, and pop-up campers. Restrooms and Porti-potti available. Self check-in. There are picnic tables and BBQ's. Water also available.

Great for someone who likes solitude. Been there three times: twice tent camping, once with RV. All great experience. I use the CG for my base camp to hunt on base. Could use a dump station.

A quiet location with nobody around. Yet close to the base facilities. This is also considered the FamCamp Annex, but there's no hookups. It's also not for large RV's. Tents and small trailers/RV's will find places to camp on the grass, among the trees. While there's 'site' numbers on some of the trees, I was told you can camp anywhere in the area. This is also a large picnic area for Vandenberg AFB.
