Three years ago, vowed we would not return because of the condition of the FAMCAMP. Stopped by to see if things had changed...no such luck. Set up in a site (15) with what appeared to be a recently installed electric box: found no electricity available. Weeds are up to a foot high. Had to pay $30 at Outdoor Rec because there is no one on site. Found out that because there is no one to check on occupancy, some campers hook up without paying (especially on weekends). No folks on base appeared to be excited about it. Seems like, along with tobacco and alcohol, base policy is to discourage camping.
