It is nice the base has changed the policy for visitors. Now, military members can have guests as long as anyone 18 or over has valid ID (drivers license/ID card). We had our grandkids visit many times on this trip which was great! While the price has increased over the years, this is still the best option around in SoCal as the majority of other RV parks are in the $80 per day range. I checked with the manager at the small shopette to see if they would carry some basic RV accessories (TP/hose/tank disinfectant) and was told they are managed by Pt Hueneme and they didn't have much control on what was sold in the store. There has also been a change to the 30 day stay limit. You can request and more than likely be approved to stay longer, all that is needed is for you to complete an extension form, note the reason and they will review. We have stayed here 6 weeks while my granddaughter needed specialized medical care in the area, no problem at all. There is a multi-page rules/regulations form you have to review and sign at check in; be sure to have your license plate info as they need that on the form (RV/Toad). There is a 5 MPH speed limit in the park, watch out or one of the highly motivated park hosts will chase you down and tell you to slow down :)
