Good Morning

Good morning to all! I notice that the last post in this forum was about a week ago. I don't think I've ever seen that little activity.

I was thinking the same thing as I log into this website at least once a day. Good Morning to you and everyone else. We have been busy and joined a different Good Sam Chapter in Florida that supports Operation Helping Hand of Tampa and Lambert and I send out a big THANK YOU to all of you who are volunteers for this organization. We will be having a Chinese Auction at the next Good Sam State Samboree and proceeds will go to Operation Helping Hand of Tampa and it is a good feeling to know we are helping the active duty wounded and injured from Iraq and Afghanistan at James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa and providing assistance and support for the families with our donations.

One thing I noticed this morning is that there were TWO members browsing the site and 1200 Guests.
I suspect you have to be a member to post. It would be great if some of those 1200 guests would register and be able to participate in the discussions.

Good Morning back at you. I too check the site nearly every morning while having coffee. Right now it shows 804 'guests' and 3 memebers online. Surely at least a couple of those 'guests' could join, but then again, maybe it costs too much to be a memeber.

Good morning from AZ guys, like you I check 1-2 times daily and also note the lack of information exchange in general. As to the high number of guests vs joining, I think it may be due to the nature of the beast and the general lack of information flow that keeps them out? Just look at the times for response on some topics, weeks to months some cases years if you flow back a couple of posts. I monitor another site that is rv specific and it has few if any interactive responses thus it is also drying up it seems.

Look at the sites that are active and you will note what I mean. This site is group specific and as a result many probably are not able to participate in comments on the subject area thus they are just cruisin through.

I enjoy reading about the different areas, but I dont use the military facilities enough to know about them. We travel and camp, a lot of the places are homesteads when we do pass by DMAFB is a good example. Last time to Ft Huachuca a lot of the same was evident and that may also be a turnoff for folks who can use the facilities and join but I really dont know. Just a few thoughts this AM.

Registration to become a website "member" is FREE! However, many of our guests only use the website as a reference and don't participate. Too bad, as I would not only love to have them participate in these forums, but also to post reviews, updates, and photos of the military recreation facilities they visit.
