Campground Facility Information - Diesel Fuel

It's been suggested a couple times that I include the availability of Diesel fuel at, or near the military campgrounds. I'd love to that.

I have plans to organize, improve, and simplify the facilities category on the campground information pages. Until I find time to do this, I'll include "Diesel" listed under the Facilities section. I just need to know where Diesel is available. When submitting an update, please let us know if Diesel is available at, or near the campgound.

What is causing the website to have such a slow response when logging on and when moving from subject to subject?

:'( I'm aware of periodic slow performance on the website and am working on it. I'm currently using a "shared" web hosting account, so my website shares a server and bandwidth other websites. If they get pretty busy, and this website gets busy, we all slow each other down.

I'm looking at upgrading to a "dedicated" server (more $$), then I won't be competing with anyone and performance would be GREATLY improved. I also need to work out the details on how to safely move the website and database over to a new server. I also travel fulltime and currently am in the middle of the Arizona desert without electricity (except solar). So this has hampered my efforts a little.

I appreciate your patience with this new website as I go through the "growing pains". I'll get something done soon to improve the performance.

Did a few tweaks to the website and also now have a dedicated IP address. I was advised to do this for heavy traffic websites. I've noticed a big difference, and someone else noticed it. We'll have to wait and see if it made a permanent difference, or if we just hit the website at a good time. I'm still researching a dedicated server, but that could be a couple months away.

I have a diesel motorhome and also look for the best prices around. I use an autos/msn web site that does very good, the link is attached. Just enter the zip code and it lists the local staions. The drawback is that it is more for gas than diesel but they have a diesel column also. Also I have noticed that there are stations in the area that have cheaper fuel that are not listed. However it does give you a good idea of the price in the area. The link is autos.msn.com/everyday/GasStations.aspx
