Not sure if this is where I should post this,, but hubby and I are taking a cruise in January out of San Diego to Hawaii for 15 days. We are looking for a place to park the camper either at a campground or storing it. Does anyone know of a good place for either? thanks in advance!!

Try Admiral Baker military camp or any of the other military campgrounds around San Diego. All of them should have a storage facility or you could just rent a camp spot at the campground and leave the electric hooked up while you are on the cruise. When we went on the Mexican Riveria cruise out of SD in Jan. a couple of years ago, we left our motor home hooked up to electric at Yuma Proving Ground. That is a little far but we were staying there anyway. Good luck, but I am sure that you will find something sutable.

We've twice taken a cruise out of San Diego and left the RV. The first time, we were able to get short-term storage at March ARB. The second time, we left it at an RV Park in Quartzsite, AZ.

Thanks for the info, guys. Is Fiddler's Cove still dry camping or has the campground been finished remodeled?

Still dry camping only. No estimation for the renovation completion. I don't think any work is currently being done.

Nothing being done at Fiddlers cove. Supposedly starting at the end of October. MCAS Miramar has two large storage lots. You might try them. Rates are very reasonable for monthly storage. We have been using the main lot since it opened. Very secure, cameras, fire suppression.
