If my mail will be all email and online bill payments could my legal address just be a P.O. box? Also what about medicine refills as fulltimer, is it easy to use the base clinics and hospitals with Tricare, and do I just bring a list of medicines from doctors to show at each base.

You can't just bring a list, you'd have to bring prescriptions. If you have those, the base pharmacy will fill it.

Otherwise, any pharmacy will keep it on file nationwide, or go to 'express scripts' and it gets mailed to you. Or, VA will mail if you are VA certified.

Lots of different ways, you have to figure out which one works for you. If you have a Tricare primary doctor, then that doctor can call it in to any local pharmacy, and that pharmacy will be national and you can get it anywhere.

The best way for most guys is 'express scripts, according to other posts. But we don't use that, so can't verify it.

Or, for example, take a renewable script to CVS in Tampa, and it will renew it anywhere in the USA if it has a CVS, or CVS will transfer to another one wherever you are at the time.

Not sure if all scripts can be filled in across state lines - like pain narcotics - does anyone know that? Don't know if 'express scripts' does pain meds either.

Otherwise, most scripts can be done from anywhere to anywhere, depending on how you travel and how often, and where. Seems complicated, but it's fairly simple once you pick a way.

Don't know about PO Box and residence - www.escapees.com has good info on residence req.

Been traveling fulltime in our RV for almost 9 years. Don't have a "sticks and bricks" house.

1) Express Scripts mail order works the best for us. We've had problems with pharmacy chains. Doctor faxes in prescription to Express Scripts, we get the drugs in the mail. Ask your doc for 90 day prescriptions with 3 refills. This will cover you for a year. Most Express Scripts prescriptions are $3 (generic) or $9 for a 90 day supply.

2) We use Escapees RV Club mailing service. They have FOUGHT, and WON, for RV'er rights. Escapees mail service is so large and efficient, they have their own zip code. Use of a PMB box with Escapees mailing service DOES serve as your "legal domicile". To prevent problems, I write my address as you would an apartment. I.E. "111 Rainbow Drive, #123". This is legal for an Escapees zip code. www.escapees.com

Then you're stuck using a nationwide pharmacy chain. We did have to do that once. Try to pick a store chain that doesn't make you "transfer" your prescription each time you visit a different location, even though it's the same store chain. I think we had the transfer issue with Walmart. It's doable, you just need to plan accordingly.

Hi Larry,Thank you so much for answering my questions. I have alot of concerns and the closer it gets to this new lifestyle for my wife and I the more pressing it seems. Do the retirees you know prefer to use the base clinics and hospital services or is it easier to use civilian medical. Most of our concerns require seeing behavioral health. Thank you again for your kindness! Daniel Enix
