I have heard this "complaint" about Bio diesel and Bio home heating oil. You have to wonder if this stuff is releasing sludge from fuel tanks where did that sludge come from?
If you area high miler and want to make the switch make sure you know how to change the fuel filter and have two spares in the rig before you put that first tank of Bio in.
Good luck with the swap to Bio.

I have used Bio and it has brought my drive to a screaming halt. Found that Bio tends to de-sludge your tank the first time you use it and it can clog your fuel filter. After changing the filter it was fine, but it was a heck of a learning curve being stuck on I95 with a 40' 5th wheel and dead in the road on a Friday at 4:30. Getting towed and then 3 hours to get it corrected and back on the road.
Just switching to the new ULSD diesel that was mandated last year can do the same thing. The old diesel left deposits (crude) on the walls of your fuel tank. The new diesel, and biodiesel, will dissolve this stuff off the fuel tank walls and it goes through your fuel lines. We experienced this last summer on our way to Rapid City, SD. Not only did we have to change the fuel filters but the fuel lift pump failed. The Cummins people are now telling us to change fuel filters at 6,000 to 8,000 miles instead of the 15,000 that is in the owners manual.
