I need some advise from my fellow RV'ing retirees, about...air compressors. I need one to tote along `cause I can't ever find one that I can pull into w/ my trailer. AAFES has good locations for air pumps at their base stations, but never a hose/fitting/machine that works. I'm tired of looking for one on base. Who has a recommendation for a portable one that will inflate my truck/trailer tires. I rarely have a real, flat but often need to top off pressure after cold snaps or coming out of storage. 120v or 12v ?? Which is better? I see ads for cheaper ones at $25-$50 and big ones w/tanks that are $200+. Isn't there one in the middle. Thnx in advance.

I carry a Cambell Hausfeld power pal. It is 120 V. that took care of my truck tires fairly quick. Mine don't have a tank, but one can be added. It goes up to 100 psi. I like because it don't take up much room and does the job I got it for. I don't remember for sure what the price was but I think it was under $100.

I use a pancake that will go to 150 PSI. It is not too big but puts out the pressure needed for just about anything. It cost $139.00 I believe at Sears or you can buy them at Lowe's .

I have a Campbell Hausfeld unit with a three gallon tank. I carried it along with our first two rigs, which were gas powered. It runs off 120v and will go up to 120psi. Now it sits in the garage at home since our diesel coach has built in air compressor. The portable one does still come in handy when I blow the water out of the lines when I winterize the rig. Bought the portable unit at Home Depot a few years ago for a little over $100.

I have a Campbell Housefield compressor. Small, tankless. Works great. It's size is what makes it so nice. 110lbs of pressure. Only excess air you have stored is whats in the hose, but will do most jobs around an RV. But, for the life of me, can't remember where I purchased it.
