Anyone added hydraulic leveling jacks to rig?

We enjoy our 94 Pace Arrow immensely but find having to level it with the lynx leveling blocks tedious. It especially bugs me that having to do this process prevents me from a quick set up without help. I would like to have hydraulic leveling jacks installed. Maybe even find some refurbished jacks to save on cost.
Has anyone done this? My mechanic says we can do it but hints that the cost will be high.

Hubby wanted hydraulic jacks when we bought our first class A back in 2000 and the dealership paid to have Big Foot hydraulic jacks installed. Cost back then was several grand so must be quite a bit more today. We loved them and only concern was you could not move in the RV at all while it was leveling as it was very sensitive to any movement.

Thanks for your response! You're correct that the cost is high. Still, when pulling into a site at night, it sure would be nice to have a quick set up!

I had one jack replaced on my 97 Bounder. It cost about $500.
I would guess a complete installation would be abot $4K.
Strangely, I seldom use mine. Most of the time it's level where I park and just don't feel I need them.

If you do decide to have this done I can highly recommend a place to go that will be fair in price and top notch in service. Alliance Coach RV Sales and Service (used to be Monaco) in Wildwood, Fl. 866-888-8941. We have been there twice with our 06 Tiffin Zephyr and hubby is very particular who he lets work on the coach. This time of year they would not be very busy as the snowbirds are gone. Good luck on whatever you decide to do and I sure can understand why you want to make a set up easier for yourself.

Thanks for the reply Dennis -- perhaps you're setting up on pavement? We do a lot of beach camping (Pendleton) and even the paved spaces are too uneven for our rig. We use the maximum lynx blocks every time.

Lamsan thanks for sharing your mechanic's info. We're in California however; since I think Dennis' estimate is going to be about right, we'll probably stick it out with the blocks unless I can find some refurbished hydraulics.
