I knew they'd catch up with me someday. Guess we have to look for alternative campgrounds. Just kidding. At least I think just kidding. I'll find out the first time they run that check on me.

most of the base we go to now scan your ID card...what if the fbi database is down
at warren afb last summer the system got SLOOOOOOOOOWWWW
and each time we entered we waited almost a 1 minute before the sentrys little gadget cleared us
i can only imagine now the fbi is tied to us and i bet big brother will have even more tracking data on us

If the government would check the ID's of those coming across the Southern border it'd probably be more effective than checking the ID's of retirees wit the FBI. Sometimes I really resent it when the military "insinuates" that retirees are the bad guys.

I never could figure out why they check retirees so completely, I can't name one that has been involved in any terrorist activity but hey, don't judge one retiree based on the acts of a few just as Obama said, "We shouldn't judge all muslims based on the acts of a few." Then why does this administration judge all gun owners based on the acts of a few nuts?

Dont know if this is still an issue. Here at DMAFB they stopped using the bar code reader and only every once in a while on weekends. Only the driver has to show their ID card everyone else in veh is his/her responsibility. So its probably a command driven thing if this is in fact going on. I know a couple of years ago they failed their inspection by not physically taking the drivers ID to look at, thats when everyone on had to have their ID out for inspection or a visitor pass! Before this just show it without removing it from the wallet and you were in.
They also went to rent a cops and now are back with military at the gates. Last summer at fort cartoon they had mil at the gates but everyone had to show ID's! Dont know if it has changed since we were there?
