2009 AF Frequent Camper Program...Dead yet? was created by addisons
Read with great interest about the Frequent Camper program, and the frustrations of folks getting kits/upgraded last year. Anyone 'bought in' recently or have current information about the program? I will be at Lackland this week; is that where the program is based out of?
Sounds like a deal, if it is still around.

I'm told the program is still alive. But I don't see much evidence of this statement.
Search these forums and the FAQ for the head of the programs address and phone number. Phil Heeg is his name. I've tried 4 times to contact him, but he doesn't return my calls or emails. He's located at Randolph AFB.
Anyone - please let us know if you have current information about this program that appears to be almost dead. However, Beale AFB FamCamp had new member packets for the USAF Frequent Camper Program. These are getting hard to find!

I still have a few coupons left.. hope they are honored..
If ya find Phil, sit on the corner of his desk until you get an answer, on second thought maybe we can't get away with that as retirees..
Good luck finding him.. while camped at Millington TN I passed , I sez, Integrity Drive? Wowzers, that's where all of my retire correspondence is from, as a marret of fact everything the USN sends me is from there.. so I turn into Integrity Drive to see the office building that houses everything and everybody in the Navy that has dealt with me for the bast 10 years.. Integrity Drive is a central mail room, they are all safe behind the central address, so us old goats can't walk into their office and ask a question..

The AF Frequent Camper Program IS alive and well, as far as I know. I used it (and a coupon) at Kirtland five weeks ago, and again this afternoon at the AF Academy. The folks in the office here at the AFA said they just received in a new shipment of packages, if that means anything!
BTW, the program is based out of Randolph AFB, not Lackland.

Finally... Barksdale AFB, Shreveport LA has about a dozen membership packets available. Real nice... includes your Log book, a new copy of the Military Campground guide and best of all, five "camper cash" vouchers, each good for one night stay at AF fam camps. I already broke even.... $25 to join - 1 nite free ($15) - (at least $10) for the Mil campground guide.
Happy camper now.

WE finally found a packet at Kirtland AFB and we've used all our coupons-no one refused them. It's really a deal. We haven't finished our first tier to send in yet but I understand from talking to others that if you DON'T hear back from the guy, send it in again. The manager at Sumter AFB RV park said the guy is REALLY hard to get a hold of and when they had a meeting with him they really squealed to him about how hard it is to get the packets. Every Famcamp that we talked to said the same thing. They always say that they're ON ORDER. Our advice is, just keep asking for the packets at each FAMCAMP you stop at. It really is a good deal!
