Is the Sea Mist Military Campground still open in Virginia Beach, Va? There is no contact information available on the website. I was interested in calling to see if they offered a shuttle to and from Virginia Beach. Thanks !
It's open and nice! New section with no trees or older renovated section with trees. Important tip: STOP before you get to the gate and wait for them to move a barrier for you! I got bound up in there and was THE MOST popular guy for about 10 minutes!
Yes the old and the new area is open for stays, again you need a decal to get in "No decal No Access". there are no shuttles that I know of that takes you to VA Beach downtown. but you have a great beach there all to yourself.
On the reservation site for this and ocean park it states that there are no sites available the End of Aug and first week of Sept. I have called gotten answering machine and no one returned my call. Are they still open, shut down, or really booked up this far in advance.
