This is a small campground but in a parklike setting, lots of trees, a lake, picnic tables, etc. Kudos to whoever laid out the individual sites as they seem to be at slight angles so you're not looking out your window into your neighbors. Getting to the base & finding the new commercial gate was a challenge. We overshot it by 3 stoplights. There is a sign in the median saying new gate open ahead, but no indication where it is. Jerry, the camp manager was able to talk us back to the correct area. We were coming from the east & for future reference, the gate is JUST before the substation on GA247/US120 (I think that's the right numbers). Once in, signage was not great & GPS directed us to the gun range when we first ventured out to the Commissary. The camp has one washer/one dryer & an ice machine like hotels have & all are free. We washed there & had no issues with people waiting to do so. There are some really nice trails around there & a dog area. Overall, Jerry was great, very helpful, camp is really pretty & we would stay there again, now that we know how to get there!
