Bottom line is that this FamCamp is an excellent facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful and fully dedicated to making your stay an excellent experience. Had to spend 5 days in overflow area awaiting a full service campsite. The overflow area is convenient to full service campground and its facilities, spaces were spacious and comfortable for not having any services. Appears campground is growing in popularity and size which is causing it to outgrow existing services ie, laundry is bit small for the approximate 300 sites (including overflow) as is the guest services area of the administrative building. No reservation first come first service policy is fair and equitable along with the 21 day stay in the full service area. Policy that allows rotation from full service area into overflow area then back into full service area is also fair and equitable. Facilities in the full service campground are every bit as good as most full service campgrounds in the Tucson area. Highly recommend that anyone visiting the Tucson area consider staying at this facility as you will not find many that are more conveniently located, or that can compete with the price and services (ie access to commissary, gas, exchange, medical, excellent 18 golf course and other rec facilities). Our stay was enjoyable and we will definitely use this facility in the future.
