Stayed here two nights to visit local attractions. The campground is across the river from the naval academy. Highly recommend you visit Naval Academy chapel. It is a beautifully adorned cathedral. The tomb of John Paul Jones and other historical sights are available for visitors to see. Visiting the nation's capital is only a short drive away. The view across the river is very nice from a well-maintained picnic area within walking distance. ...

Excellent campground with plenty of summer activities. I especially enjoyed the outdoor concerts on weekends. Many campers live there full-time. Campground has a fishing pier, boat dock, swimming pool, and beach. Nearby Solomon's Island offers excellent night-life with many restaurants and clubs. I'd easily consider this campground high-end on quality and value for your money.

Beautiful campground nestled in a valley beside Lake Greenwood. The campground amenities include a full bathhouse, free laundry facilities, and fire rings. There is a small sand beach on the lake for swimming at your own risk. Boat/Paddleboat rentals are also available. Fishing is excellent and a small bait shop is open daily. Definitely a hiker's paradise with plenty of room to roam. Plenty of firewood available nearby in the woods from fallen trees....
