El Centro is one of the bases where the CO has decided that spouses of veterans with a service disability are not allowed. The FamCamp here is closed. Don't bother calling, they won't answer the phone. It does say somewhere that it's a temporary closure.

It had been a while since anyone had written a review, so I thought I'd update everything. The sites were built up with fresh gravel. The picnic tables and shelter were still far away from where you park, but that is what it is. Most people there seem to be long term residents. The bathrooms were clean.
