They let you call about a week in advance to get an idea of how full the park has been during the time frame you're looking for. On arrival at our site (16), there was standing water at the entrance to the site and deep mud. It was hard to maneuver into the site with a 25' foot trailer and all that deep mud. Tried to reach out via FB Messenger to ask if we could move, but never received a response. The rules ask you to not park on the grass and to park perpendicular to the site, but there was no way to do that...
There's not a lot in Fallon, NV to see but we were glad there was a Navy base to stay on while we made our way from CA to Utah. This is a no-frills RV park. Gravel lot with cement pads, a laundry and shower facility, and that's it. The base amenities were good. This is a small park located in a convenient area for San Luis Obispo, Los Osos, and Morro Bay. It's nestled in a valley surrounded by beautiful green hills and is nice and quiet. Because it's run by the state, it's not just for the military. We were camped next to first responders as well. Landscapers were mowing and edging and keeping the sites clear. However, someone from Billeting needs to make sure trash from fire pits is cleaned up....

This is a small RV park on Lake Amistad affiliated with Laughlin AFB. There are 15 full hook-up sites and a few sites for tents and RVs with electric and water only. We have been extremely impressed with this base RV park, with both the base and the RV park itself. The base is clean and has outstanding commissary and exchange facilities.
