We stayed at this campground and were able to find it rather easily. Loved the quiet nights. Our dog had a ball running around in the grass. We did not use any of the amenities because we were in a class A. Good Dish reception. Excellent dog run, just up the road and looked like everyone picked up. If you like to fish, there is a big lake on post, also a kids and large picnic...
We arrived today and although we had DoD stickers on both the RV and the car we were subjected to a full blown out search, they even opened the cabinets and went into the bathroom. This is after we had to guess what exits to take because no one knew what the exit numbers were that we needed to exit at to get here. When you enter the park the first thing you see is a bunch of back ins...
This would be much higher if: 1. They did not all service members, not academy students to stay there for 6 months at a time. 2. They would turn on the water for the dog area. 3. The sites were level from front to back, Had to almost use my raisers under the front tires to get level. Had to add a step to get into the unit. 4. They need to enforce the pick up after your pet....
If you want to stay here you have to first go to the Lodging office where if you are lucky the girls, ditzey, know what you are talking about. Then they will give you "directions" to the park. There are no real signs telling you where to turn. We took the second and had to drive around, apparently we entered at the exit, which is not marked. All of the spaces have trailer rentals in them, except for one which...
This park is one of the best on the East Coast. Is the best and the closest Army park to DC. Andrews AFB is closer, but does not come close to this park. The staff is not only friendly, but helpful. My wife and I are full-timers and we have a 40' Class A. If there is a negative to this park it is the number of active duty that are living here, but even they are required to move...
If you have a son or daughter stationed there and if they just returned from a deployment don't count on being able to get a slot during the winter, it seems that the snow birds who move there during the winter have priority. I shouldn't be so mad, as this is true for every FamCamp in the military. Overall the camp was OK, they even came by to make sure we were leaving when we said, or to remind us...
NICE PARK, THE POSITIVES: GREAT LOCATION. THE NEGATIVES WERE: DIRTY REST ROOMS, NO COVER ON THE DUMPSTER, QUIET TIMES NOT ENFORCED. IT WOULD BE NICE IF ALL OF THE SITES WERE PAD SITES THAT WERE LEVEL AND HAD A LITTLE MORE SPACE BETWEEN EACH OTHER, THE SITES ARE SO CLOSE THAT OUR NEIGHBOR WAS USING OUR SPACE TO STORE HIS DIVING STUFF. WE ASKED ABOUT THE WINTER AND WERE TOLD THAT EVERYTHING IS ON A FIRST COME BASIS. AND THAT...
The park is one of those best kept secrets during the summer. However, the roads in the camp ground are gravel which is not good for us walkers. Since the laundry is free, yes FREE, people tend to put their cloths in and forget them. This happened to us with a lady who tied up 4 of the 5, active duty. BEWARE of the 14 foot alligator in the lake, she just had babies and is crankey. Also there are...
We stayed here for a week and except for the occasional holes in the ground that we ended up marking with lawn lights it isn't bad. The staff was very attentive to problems and the neighbors were friendly, not like a lot of military RV parks. We also noticed that there were not a lot of active duty, again like most are going (changing from trailer parks to RVs for active duty). The only problems were that the ocean is...
