We enjoyed our stay in this campground. The site had a nice concrete pad and the campground was very nice. All of the people we interacted with were very friendly. Our GPS did not work with the coordinates, it brought us to a gate that isn't listed. If in the area again, we would definitely stay here.
We were a little concerned reading the previous reviews, but I am glad we came here. Our campsite has full hookups with a large concrete pad. There is a lot of room between sites. The person at the office was friendly and helpful. If in the area again, we will return.
The pros: the campsites are a nice size with full hookups and they are level. We made our reservation 30 days in advance over the phone since there is no office or host in the campground. The office sent a couple to our door who told us we were in there site, also the office told them vagrants pulled in the campground all the time. There were several empty sites and these people thought we were...
Thanks again for another wonderful winter stay. We arrive in Oct and stay the full 6 months. Thanks to the office staff for all that you do. We stay in the annex by choice and enjoy the camaraderie with our fellow campers. I have to address a few things Happy Camper reviewed (previous poster), I feel the people in the annex were misrepresented. I only know of one person who brought their MH in to...
This is our 4th stay at this campground and we have plans to come back. We stay in the annex area by choice because of the larger sites. We also like the fact, we can walk to the golf course. The reservation system works well for us since we know when we will be coming back and make our reservation in advance. Lots of activities so you will never get bored. Another great snowbird season....
We always enjoy this campground and the surrounding area when we are here. When we arrived, the campground office was closed because of some problems so we were checked in by Glen. He was very friendly and helped us get into a site on the water. When we went to the office the next day, the 2 women in there were friendly & informative. We will definitely be back.
After reading the previous reviews, we almost didn't stay here. This is a great location to visit Savannah and the surrounding areas. The sites have plenty of room. Our picnic table was dirty, but with just a little work it was in fine shape. Our satellite wouldn't pick up a signal because of the trees, but the cable service provided many channels. We enjoyed walking and playing golf on base. Overall we enjoyed our...
This is a very nice campground, well maintained. Everyone is friendly, large sites and we were given lots of information about the base when we checked in. We will stay here again.
This is our first year of being Snowbirds and we couldn't have picked a better place. We stayed in the annex which has larger sites. The staff worked very hard. The amenities on base are great and the price was right. Lots of activities, you could be busy all the time if you wanted. We made some lifelong friends and plan on coming back next year.
We already loved this campground and the improvements made since our last visit just added to it. The interior roads are now paved and there is a new laundry center that is FREE. Our site overlooked the water and it is so nice to sit outside and talk to all the friendly people. We do plan on returning.
We absolutely loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. We had a water site and enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings watching the sun set. It is very convenient to the downtown area. We found the office workers to be very pleasant and Loretta was great. Our dog perked up each time she heard a golf cart thinking Loretta was going to give her a treat. There was a good sized dog...
We absolutely love this campground. The amenities are great including free WiFi. To sit at your campsite and watch all the Navy ships, cargo ships, cruise ships and this time we saw 2 submarines, you just can't beat this campground. It is only a short walk to the beach. This is a place we will come back to again & again.
We really enjoyed this campground so much instead of the week we planned on staying, we stayed 2 weeks. We had a site where we could watch the ships go by. The campground hosts were friendly and had a lot of activities going on. The pet walk area and the beach area both were great for walking our dog. We will definitely stay here again.
We were lucky to get a site on the Banana River. The Camp host at site 1 was very helpful when we arrived, the office wasn't open and he took care of all the details. We enjoyed watching the planes land and the outdoor recreation area. The laundry facility was good, 5 washers & dryers. Good location for going to the ocean. Our dog was a little skittish of the sound from the firing range. ...
Large, level pull thru sites. Our dog enjoyed the dog run. Campground is very close to the sites in San Antonio. The only negative was not knowing which gate is open. On the weekends a lot of the gates were closed. Overall a great experience and we hope to be back again.
We were pleasantly surprised to get a prime site in the B section looking straight into the Bay. Sites are level with plenty of room between them. Great location for bike riding, bird watching & relaxing. If in the area again, would definitely stay here.
