This is a real gem of a military RV park. They have good signage to direct you to the entrance of the park. The entrance road needs to be re-paved though, it's a bit bumpy and unlevel , be careful with your RV and tow vehicle. This was my second visit to this park this summer, as I was on my way back east from the Texas Gulf coast. This is a hidden gem, small but friendly. If you are looking for quiet, inexpensive, but with easy access to I-20, try this little gem.
Nice park, right on Corpus Christi bay on Flour Bluff. One bridge east to Padre Island National Seashore, the largest undeveloped barrier island (70 miles of beach) left in the world. To the north is Mustang Island and the towns of Port Aransas and Aransas Pass, popular winter Texan destinations. Great location for Mt. Cheaha State Park, Talladega Forest, Talladega Speedway, Speedway Hall of Fame and Logan Martin Lake. Pay close attention to the directions, especially the left turn right BEFORE bldg 221 or you will be unhooking your toad in order to turn your coach around.
