I hesitated leaving this review only because more people will want to use this park making it more difficult for me to go back, LOL! This is a gem - beautiful RV park and close to the great beaches of NC. Lori the host is wonderful and accommodating.
Only stayed one night on our way east along I-10. Not too far from the highway and very close to the beaches of Gulfport and Biloxi. Did not use any facilities as we were self contained in a 5th wheel, but park was nicely laid out and sites were very large and had plenty of space. Easy in, easy out. Would recommend as a stopover or destination to explore Gulfport or Biloxi.
Stayed here for one very rainy night in June 2018. Arrived late and was escorted to the FAMCamp by Security Forces - which was nice considering the visibility. Called to make reservations in advance and the Outdoor Recreations specialist (Jason I believe) was very courteous and accommodating. It was a Saturday night and the base was pretty much deserted and quiet. The RV Park looked nice, well laid out and clean and adjacent to a Civil Engineering work area....
The park is clean and neat in appearance. Roads are good - all paved and wide. Most sites look fairly easy to get in and out of and are adequate in size. Camp has a nice paved pathway for walking and handy doggie bags for picking up after your pets. A very park-like campground. It looks like there are some homesteaders - although the sites were all neat in appearance. Park was almost full...
