This is one of the best parks I have stayed at, With the new addition of spaces,bathroom/laundry are great.I would stay again. When I first read the direction it seemed confusing. I spoke with Camp Host and the ORIGINAL DIRECTIONS(was very easy to follow): From I-10, exit 22B (West Bound)and exit 22A (East Bound) go north on US-54E and take exit 25 (Ellerthrope). At bottom of ramp, stay in left lane and turn left at light, heading west on Ellerthorpe....
I really enjoyed my stay here it is very quiet and peaceful. You have a beautiful view of the lake, and the campsites are level, with covered patio's and grills. As for the laundry, they have placed 2 stackable units that are unsat for the number of full timers in the park. (Just to small). Any supplies you may need means a trip to Del Rio, about 10 miles down the road. Had a few days of the dreaded Texas...
I spent mid Oct to mid Nov and totally enjoyed my stay. The city of Del Rio has many great places to visit and some very good food. If you want a great steak try Lorina's Cantina every Wednesday (RSVP Only) also Wrights Steak House, both on the West side of Del Rio US-90. The only area I addressed with the base was the need to get WiFi installed, I have Sprint and it worked great but WiFi is now...
