I first stayed at the Navy Lakeside in a cabin back in December 1989. Now that I have an RV, I try and stay at least 3 times a year. The staff do go out of their way to accomodate your needs. We visited NAS Belle Chasse during the Thanks Giving Holiday Week. We have a 32' Class C Sunseeker and towed a Geo Tracker. The base is about 9 mi south of New Orleans. Kenney was very helpful with everything we needed. We put our bikes on the back of the car and drove to the ferry, walking our bikes on the ferry and crossing the river to Canal street where we rode our bikes around the city. ...
