Awesome! Location was fantastic...great mountain area. Only about 5 miles away from town of Woodland Park & Hwy 24, which has many amenities. Later found out that it is a 8-mile (one-way) hike to ASAFA. The staff was very helpful & friendly. We stayed in a tiny cabin that only had bunks & queen bed (which was fine!)and a porta potty nearby...both were very clean. The campsite included a fire ring and picnic table as well. The overall location of the FAMCAMP was outstanding in relation to the geographical area. Bathrooms/showers & laundry room were very clean and couldn't beat the price for the stay. Although there were no fire pits, they had fire rings you could rent and firewood to purchase. There were BBQ grills however. There were two negative issues 1) The picnic table had been moved by other campers' to their area; however, the camp host was glad to rectify the issue and...
A great place to stay, especially if you can't get into a state park. The shopette is within walking distance. I had a reservation, but upon arrival, our designated spot was occupied, but the host had another spot available. The laundry room coin changer was inoperative and we had to go to the shoppette for change and they didn't have much to spare.
