This could be an outstanding FamCamp if they just took better care of the park. If you come in after 1400 Sat and depart before 0900 on Monday, there is no place for you to pay or any directions for a place to leave your money. This is an excellent park. My only recommendations are for more signage when entering from the Commercial Gate, as well as direction of travel once inside the park. Also once in the park it would be nice to know where the BX, Commissary and other facilities were located on base. Granted it's a small base so we were able to drive around and find everything. This facility is very nice and quiet. All in all a great location as long as you know what you are getting, distance from Las Cruces and Alamogordo. The check in process has a lot to be desired. Like so many before this is an excellent FAMCAMP. Only issue I have is with the check-in process. They were very friendly and ready for me when I arrived. Looking back it appeared they assumed I had been here before and just told me to go almost back to the gate and I would find my site. My recommendation would be to provide me with a map and circle my campsite and give directions. It...
Our stay was excellent and very restful. The reservations phone doesn't start till 10:30. Can't really add anything to what everyone else has already stated. One update; one of the two washers is still broken and not due for replacement till FY14. Also the commissary is closed on Tuesday, until.............
