We arrived the day before water was turned on to the campground. We were charged the full amount for every day (no discount for the electric-only day there). On the third day we went by the MWR office to pick up the paperwork and to inform them about the sewer backing up when I attempted emptying our hold tanks. They have a phone number to leave a message but never called back. The second time I attempted the number,...

Directions - If you are visiting Round Pond with a 5th wheel, use the directions above. We came in from the east and decided to take US 9W south to CR 293. Our 5th wheel is 12’ 11” and a bridge over 9W (at Angola Road) is 12’ 10” so we took a quick exit onto Quaker Ave and I turned right into a 12’ 9” bridge (on my side). I took the other lane and made it under the...

MoonRun26 below has it right about the isolation of this campground. We use Verizon phone and internet and neither could get a signal at Great Pond. We also use satellite TV and were in site #12 and got a poor signal because of the trees. I am not blaming the campground for any of this; just trying to make others aware before they go there or make reservations (no refunds on reservations). The terrible roads to the campground (7 miles...

It was our first time to stay here. I hope these extra instructions help other first-timers. Using exit 8 off of MD 32 to enter Ft Meade with your camper, enter the roundabout and bypass the Main Gate. Take the next right off the roundabout which looks (and is) the entrance ramp onto MD 32 west. There is an exit off that road that takes you to the Truck Gate/NSA Gate. You will be driving on the left side of...

We called after hours and left a message; called first thing the next morning and made reservations for a pull-thru 50 amp with sewage. They called back later when they checked their phone messages. Going into Gate 26A worked great; the most direct way to the campground. We went directly to the site and set up; good since no one was at the office. Our GPS took us thru gates to get to the Museum of the AF and...

Most important note - the electricity is 20 amp. The lots are small and not clearly marked and mostly soft sand. This is not a good camp for large 5th wheels. We did not stay because of the low amp electricity. It was unseasonably hot and would not run the A/C on 20 amp. The camp ground is not level but very shady with a lake nearby. Our orange leveling blocks sank into the sand. If you have a smaller/lighter...

A nice, very well-maintained campground. Large spaces and easy to park with most spaces being pull-thrus. The staff are very hard working and friendly. If you visit; take my advice and exit 76B off I-65 onto US 31 North. Follow it for about four miles and there are signs to Camp Atterbury (left turn onto County Road 800). Stay on CR 800 for about 2.5 miles; gate will be on the left. Once thru the gate, go about one mile...

We were assigned site #20 for our 36' fifth-wheel. The old map has site recommendations based on length and #20 was for a much smaller RV. We were able to change but some of the sites are not clearly marked. Some campers that frequented the camp were able to suggest different sites for us. The bath houses were not cleaned but similar to state parks. The office staff were very friendly and helpful. We were not fishing or boating but...
