Enjoyed our stay here. Stayed in site RVP-C. It backed up to a tree but we had plenty of room for our 45ft. We parked our car on a side lot close by, it pays to have military tags. We went to the Galley to eat while here. The food was okay and at a great price of $8.00 per person. It was nice seeing the military come in and eat. Boy did they eat fast, ha. There's a...
Finally arrived but word of caution. Do not follow GPS coordinates it will send you to a closed gate. Off of I-25 exit ramp 11, Randall Ave. Then follow the directions given on their military website only. GPS will take you to a gate that's been closed for 5 years. We used Rand McNally which was wrong. Safe travels.
Enjoyed our time here. Camp host welcomed us and provided a map and information on places to go while here. It was nice taking a nice warm shower even though we have one in our RV. The sites are clean but close to each other. Overheard possible new sites added for more larger big rigs which would be a plus. Famcamp sits way in the back next to the flight area but I love solitude. Commissary had everything I...
Scheduled one week stay here then added an additional 1 1/2 week stay. We left a day earlier due to the park closing in order to work on the roads and sites for a couple of days. Great Famcamp and Annie (Sorry if mispelled) was a great host and had funny jokes to tell me. Seeing and hearing the planes coming in and going out, never bothered me. Nice open pull through sites with great electric, water and sewer...
We stayed at site 21 which is in overflow area. This is the first overflow area that seems better then the normal open sites. We had 50 amp, water and sewer. We could see the water and the pier from our RV and close to beach for a nice stroll. Nice shade tree that gave us adequate shading to keep us out of the sun and we were even able to get satellite. We're...
We were able to stay for 6 nights at the new sites they put in April,2013 sites 19-24. I don't know what they were thinking when they built these sites. Even though the view is outstanding, facing the lake and beach area, the sites are all unlevel. We tried three different sites in row and all of them left our front wheel, totally depending on the levelers at least two feet off the ground leaving us totally...
Loved it here. Only bad thing was no WI-FI Internet or cable TV. The view made up for what we could not get. Ken was a great host and welcomed us along with providing a welcome packet. Everyone on base was very nice. Beware of shopping at the Commissary, it's 7 or 8 miles from the base outside of town. They do have a NEX Exchange onsite as well as a much larger one...
