Stayed here one night for the past two years on our annual trip to San Diego. They do not except reservation and when I called I was 1 1/2 hours away, the desk clerk told me they had 2 openings. We were lucky to get the last site available for the night. The park is clean but it's all concrete and gravel, little or no shade, so plan on running your A/C full blast. So glad to see this facility open. We spent one night as we were traveling West on I 20. The staff was very friendly, looks like a few Homesteaders live here permanently. Cost was way too high for the amenities offered. $35 night. It was a bit confusing, having to pass the RV park to get to the registration desk and then turn around to got to your site.
