The camping area at Onslow Beach is still available and in excellent condition.Unfortunately, while we were staying in a Cabana in September of 2018, we were forced to evacuate due to Hurricane Florence, which produced major damage to most of the lodging units. The three-bedroom Ospreys, the ocean front Studio Cabanas, and the units reserved for higher ranking officers and enlisted were all rendered uninhabitable. We stayed at Onslow Beach on Camp Lejeune in one of the oceanfront cabanas. They are amazingly spacious studio units, with a comfortable king-sized bed, a kitchen at one end of the main room, and a separate bathroom with a shower. The unit comes supplied with linens, cooking and eating utensils, and an initial supply of toiletries and paper towels.
