This is my second visit here. The "new" section has nice level concrete slabs. They were mowing when I arrived, but I had to do my own sweeping/blowing of the cuttings off the site and around the hook-ups. Laundry room is pathetic. It has not seen a broom or duster in a long time. Lights in the room do not work so take a flashlight if you decide to do laundry at night! One washing machine is 50...

Not really a FamCamp as it is open to the public. I grabbed one of the only two 1-nite stay sites as soon as I arrived, then went and checked in. That's what I thought I was supposed to do. Stayed just 2 nights at Scott AFB enroute to Florida. Easy access, nice little campground. I did not use the laundry or bathrooms, but they appeared functional and generally clean. Really nice base exchange. The FamCamp provides a great place for a long walk. I was in site 22, and unfortunately the huge tree directly in back of the site prevented me from getting satellite service. One site over would have been fine.

What a great park!! Easy to get to from the Main Gate (Exit 161 off I-44.) Concrete, spacious, and the Outdoor Adventure staff has revealed expansion to include laundry, showers, etc. The Shoppette on Missouri Ave as you leave has clearance (14') to fill up before you hit the road. Not sure what LADAC's complaint was about. Each site has full hook-up. Trees have been planted, and someday they will provide a little shade. The reason I rated Cleanliness...
