We spent our 6 days here, the first two dodging Tropical Storm Cindy. Since this is the closest FamCamp to New Orleans, it becomes a mandatory stay. On the South side of New Orleans, your choice is to drive into town and pay high parking fees, or take the $2 ferry ride from Algiers to the Canal Street pier. We really enjoyed our stay at Charleston AFB RV Park. We arrived on a Sunday and were promptly greeted by the camp hosts, Connie and Victor who saw us approaching and were out of their rv as we pulled up.
