The individual camper talked to me about only getting to stay 60-90 days before they had to leave for 14 days before returning. This is a very nice FamCamp except - $35/night in the middle of west Texas is a LOT pricey. I could list all of the FamCamps we've stayed at for a lot less but $35 is overpriced. Our 2nd stay and we've like both of them. This isn't a fancy FamCamp but it is very useful. I gave Cleanliness/Hospitality a 3 star for cleanliness only. The host was very friendly and helpful. We travel a great deal (7-9 month each year) and try to stay on military installations most of the time. So we have seen more than 40 FamCamps. This one maybe one of the worst. This FamCamp is easy enough to get to off I-64 and even on Scott AFB. From there, things were below average. We were very fortunate with our camp site. It was overlooking the ocean with full hookups. BEAUTIFUL place. Lots of places nearby to include a short drive to Plymouth were took 3 of our grandchildren whale watching.

This is just an old soldier's opinion - here goes. We are back at NASKW for our 3rd year in a row. Love it. The RV park was very nice. Pull through concrete pad sites abound, camp host (Army type - yeah) was very helpful and site is easily found. A couple of things though - park streets are very narrow and lined with railroad ties and registration was muddled. Most of the other reviews have covered the issues but must add 2 specific items. Check-in didn't go so well. Where to register wasn't marked well. After 2 laps around the park, stopped and asked a current resident. It is in the hotel office. After getting to the desk, I selected a spot that looks to be right next to the hotel. Very nice facility. Very clean, easy pull through sites, well run EXCEPT markings. Markings being the signage into the campground. After checking in and on your way to your campsite no signs indicate the turn to the entrance. Look for the signs that indicate Parking. This is in the deep woods so satellite reception is a little spotty. Good news is there are a couple of OTA stations.

Been there several times. Staff is always friendly, site is always clean. Wide concrete pads - a bit unleveled but very usable. Kids moved to the Fayetteville area so this is very handy for us. What a great location and operation!! The staff at the Rec Center were terrific. We had three of our granddaughters with us. The Rec Center staff went out of their way to accommodate. We enjoyed our stay. We have a 34' TT. Pads (at least on the upper loop) were very level, easy to back into and spacious. Our 3 granddaughters were with us and enjoyed the "woods" experience. Would have been better but the water facilities were closed. Only real down side - unpaved road. The speed limit is very slow but I don't care how slow you go - DUST!
