We decided to come to this campground because we read here that they offer free laundry. Although we were disappointed to find out they don't have free laundry anymore and they changed this policy 3 years ago! This place is good for a quick stop over but it's very tiny and very, very hot with no shade. Theres a small BX but nothing else to do on base.

This RV park was very easy to find and in a great location. Famcamp  is located immediately after entering PATRIOT GATE across from the gas station. There has been some recent changes at this famcamp. The rates here have gone up to $23/night. They no longer offer weekly rates. Also the office is located at the entrance of the fam camp, on the map it shows the office inside the famcamp but that building is closed down, we saw...

Well we were dissappointed on our visit to this base. I called 1 week before arriving here and ask about sites available for last min arrivals and I was told MANY were available. We drove here from GA and when we checked in they said there fully booked till March! They said there doing renovation on half of there sites and we can stay in overflow. When we drove through the park we saw about 30 sites available in between...

This was a very nice campground with everything you could need. All sites are full hook ups 50amp, and cable hook up with 58 channels! We came from Alabama so we didn't need to drive through the whole base. Prices are incorrect here, they went up. They consider HIGH peak season till December 1. We stayed here in October and rates are $23 for FHU and $20 for w/e, weekly rates are pay for 6 get 7 free and America the beautiful is only a $1 discount. I really don't think the rates are worth it. Cell reception is zero for anyone except Verizon and even with Verizon it's in/out. Only way around this issue is buy a $500...

This campground was OK. The good: office staff very friendly and helpful, many sites in the front are HUGE, you can fit 3 RVs on one site, nice clean fishing lake stocked with lots of bass and trout, large 4 person paddle boats for $4/hour, many activities on weekends for kids and gun shooting range, very nice 18 hole mini putt course for $4, and small store stocked with basic items. We enjoyed our stay at this base. Great location to visit the DC area. President Obama golfs on this base very often and if your here when he golfs the whole base is on lockdown including the RV park since hole 17 is next to the base. I haven't seen any recent reviews here so I thought I would post an update. Directions say coming from "US17" I'm not really sure where 17 is but the main highway you would have to come from is hwy 168. Also the campground itself has no office so you need to check in at the MWR office off the base next to the pass and ID/vehicle inspection area before you get a site. We came here from Myrtle Beach and the ferry was amazing! I highly recommend the ferry if your coming from the south. Be advised the instructions to get to RV park are incorrect here. We stayed here for 2 nights passing through. We had reservations but there's no office or camp host so we had to dis-connect our toad to drive to the other side of the base to outdoor rec, unfortunately the outdoor rec is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday so we left our payment with someone who was working in the same office but doesn't deal with the RV park. This is a beautiful park in a great location. There's a lot to see and do on this base. Although it's interesting that the commisary and exchange are located off the base.

We got to this RV park 35 min late due to wrong/missing directions stated here. We came off hwy 10 and you need to go I-295 SOUTH! Not north as stated in the directions. I'll make it more clear and easy here: coming from hwy 10, take exit for I-295 south going toward Datona beach, the first exit you will see it 21 and the number will go down, take exit 10, after you exit the road take a left...

The directions here was spot on! Very easy to find this base. They have a fitness center with a gym, handball, a pool and kids can swim free. Nice small exchange and commisary has everything you need and very good prices on meats! Downside is RV park is not kid friendly or pet friendly. Rules and management is very strict. Please be advised, the directions here are incorrect! It took us 2 hours to find this base!!! The directions state that you should take (sr23/ exit 18) this is WRONG, exit 18 does not exist!!! I'll give the good, bad, and ugly. The good is this RV park is beautiful, very nice large sites, flat cement, very clean, well maintained! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The bad is 5 ft from the RV park is a train track that is VERY active, in fact the most active train track I have ever seen in the US! A train goes by at least every 5 to 10 minutes especially at night, and the conductors LOVE...

Our family stayed here for one night dry camping. The base is nice and has shopping and nice commissary but nobody has heard of a campground here. You have to ask directions to the golf coarse and then look for signs to the river, if you go into base housing you missed the turn.
