As a retired DoD Civilian with a DoD Civilian Retiree ID card, I generally have access to MWR facilities, including Air Force FamCamps. However, per official Air Force policy, my access is at the discretion of each base commander. This was our second visit to Gila Bend, and we'll likely be back again. Our visit was just a stop for the night both times, and we don't anticipate any future visit being more than one or two nights. It not much to write home about in terms of appearance and amenities, but it's a good value and not far out of the way if you're headed through on Interstate 8.
