The campground is very quiet and clean. All hook ups worked perfectly. Plenty of room for our 40' Class A. Lot of green space near the water. The lake level is still low do to dam work. Our 2nd time at Camp Meade. Very well run campground. Check in was a breeze. Need a code for gate to enter the campground. It was close to full while we were there. A nice, neat small campground.Sites 1-9 in one area and 10-15 off to the side. We were supposed to be in site 10 and got a call the day before arrival saying we were in site 15. We had hoped to get into Tyndall, but they no longer take reservations since Hurricane Michael. As other reviewers have stated, there is no self parking your RV and you must be here before 5pm. We were the only site with power during our stay. Our site was the first site right of the restrooms. We had no issues with our stay. Great Fam Camp.We extended our stay with no problems.Great folks working in the office. Sites are long, level with easy hookups. In the area furthest from the check in office,WiFi was iffy,sometimes worked good, most time it wouldn't connect or disconnected continuously. This is a very nice Fam Camp and well maintained. Easy access from the South Gate.The laundry and bathrooms are spotless.$1 a load for washer or dryer.Very friendly host and office workers. Only reason I didn't give it 5* across the board is because of no internet except near the office.We have now traveled 46 states and stayed in Fam Camps whenever possible.Most all Navy Fam Camps have internet access. We were in the new section, so no WiFi available. The older section looked very nice with mature trees. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They bring you to your site, so no issue finding where you belong. If they had WiFi it would be a 5* Fam Camp.

Thought we would add a review as there hasn't been any for a couple years. This Fam Camp was one of the nicest we have stayed at. The staff in the lodge were very friendly and check in took only a couple minutes. The Fam Camp also has a lodge, cabins and yurts. The bath house was clean and great water pressure. This was the first Fam Camp (out of 33) that we have stayed at that did not take reservation. We were a bit nervous traveling and staying through 14 different states and not being sure if we had a site. Called in the morning and they said they did have several sites available.
