We arrived on a Wednesday to find the office closed. Our assigned site was listed on the board, so proceeded to our site. Our site, #6, is next to a permanent mobile home with a fence around it. A small car was parked on the street on the utility side of our site - the direction from which we would have to back in (the was no one at the mobile home to move the car). the street in...
We were delighted to find that there was a military campground in the Flagstaff area as we worked our way across Route 66. Unfortunately, in our experience, location is the best aspect of this facility. The cabins, yurts, and lodge-style accommodations looked nice and seemed well utilized. The common areas and facilities appeared clean and well-kept. We found the employees to be civil but not helpful. The first words spoken to me on arrival and check-in were, "Military ID...
This is a very nice FamCamp. It's clean and well maintained. There's an on-site camp host (when we stayed, it was a young active duty AF enlisted man). They don't take reservations and it's first come, first served. Payment is by check or cash for the camp host (outdoor rec may be able to take plastic, though). My RV GPS took me to one of the back gates where I was turned around and sent to the main gate....

On the weekend there were more young campers with a bit of rowdy behavior. During the week, there might be one or two other campers in our area (Randolph AFB side) besides ourselves and the camp host. The Randolph side doesn't...
This was only the latest of numerous stays for us at the APG Marylander RV Park and we like it a lot. We prefer the Marylander to the newer Shore Park as the newer park is $10/night more at this time and we don't need the bath house or laundry facilities (although you can buy a laundry card and get a key card for the Shore Park at MWR if you need it). APG is "Home Base Northeast" for...
This is not a destination RV resort, but it's good for a few nights en route. We had reservations and checked in on a Saturday. The camp host said the sites were numbered incorrectly and guided us to the site she said was ours but Monday morning MWR said that several of us were in the wrong sites. Oh, well. We were treated very politely on all accounts. Contrary to other reviews, our pad was 4" out of level...
