Laundry and shower facilities are in terrible condition. Cable and WiFi do not work and other reviews point out multiple vehicles on one site and trash. Good looking park and nice sites but I don't see anyone managing this place.
Good overall facilities on the base, great management in the front office. Unfortunately grade school rumors and one individual who thinks she runs the place and yet she's not employed by MWR. Made some good friends but won't be back.
What great little park. Great facilities, wonderful staff. Would come back here any chance we get. One piece of information for travelers, if you come through the commercial gate stay to the left and get into over sized vehicle lane. Don't attempt to go through the exray machine.
Million dollar view of the lake but this place is run down and in need of some repair. Large rv sites are small and water pressure is terrible, pulled into our site and found dog crap on the site and fire ring full of garbage. The new cabins look great but all the admin buildings and Pavillion are in terrible condition. I wish Leonardwood MWR would put some time and money into this place.
Called the same day we arrived and was able to find a full hook up site for the month. Front office and campers have been very nice and the weather is excellent. Camp sites and facilities are nice, wifi is good but not great. Base facilities are small but all are within walking distance and provide the needed necessities. We would come back any time.
Battleship row, Excellent campsites, concrete, level sites, some shaded with fire pits. Some of the cleanest water we have found in the past two years(>50ppm) Bathrooms are large and in good condition. Boat ramp is no more than 70 yards from any site. Would recommend to anyone.
Clean, quite and can't say enough good things about the staff. This is a great park and the base has everything you could want plus the Thunderbird's museum. My wife and I had a great stay and plan on coming back. RD
