We purchased a pop up camper in 2004 and the first campground we stayed at was the Solomon's Rec Center. It was a very nice campground. Over the next year, we stayed there several times. Saw a nice weekend coming up, did not have duty, let's go camping, no problem getting a reservation. I believe that it was in 2006 MWR opened the Rec Center up to all DoD card holders.
