This Famcap suited our needs for a base camp to explore Boston. Since it's First Come First Served at this CG, we called the morning of our arrival and were told that 8 campers would be departing that day. We arrived at the Famcamp about 2:30pm and there was one FHU 50amp site left, so we took it. There's nothing special about this Famcap, but it's a great deal for a place to stay while visiting Boston. On two of the days we stayed, we drove the 30-minute drive to the Alewife Subway station, where we took the Red line and transferred to the Green, then Blue Line and stopped at the Aquarium. There, we boarded the Hop on-Hop Off trolley for a narrated tour of the city. The BEST thing about the Subway system in Boston is it's FREE for veterans! Just show your military ID to one of the Subway "ambassadors" (in the red shirts) and they will let you through into the subway system.
