We spent 2 nights at Keesler AFB FamCamp, Biloxi, MS, in October 2024. Staff was friendly and welcoming, Dave, the camp host, showed us to our site. Area was clean and well maintained. 50A power, water and sewer were handy and functional. Laundry was open and cost $1.50 to wash and $1.00 to dry. Easy to get to. Nice size sites and access roads. Only detractor was the light pole at the head off our site. It wouldn't allow a big rig to exit. We actually went the wrong way to get out. Nice patio and picnic tables, No open fires at the sites. We stayed here in our 43' fifth wheel.

Great campground. Located close to beaches, downtown Biloxi, and entertainment. There is a new Fam camp being built so this one is lacking upkeep in some areas. Laundry room doubles as the mail holding area so some of the little space available gets taken up with mail. Staff here is great.

This FanCamp is horribly managed. I reserved a full hookup spot 2 months prior to my arrival. Once I got here the person in the office told me to go to site 29, and the camp host directed to that site. I tried everything to try to level out my camper and the site was so small I couldn’t get close to level. I walked to the office and the girl said I can refund your money that’s all she can do. I told her I reserved months in advanced and told them I needed a fairly level site for my month stay. I asked who the camp host was and she walked me over to his location and he stated I have nothing to do with assigning the sites. I finally asked who her boss was and called Conner. He told me he would work this out and call me back. He had the girl at the front desk look at the schedule and she decided I could stay for my reserved month but I had to move a total of 5 times. After the first week of being here, many site became available for a couple of days but I was told I had to continue with the sites she provided earlier. One site that was closed for maintenance finally opened up and I asked if I could go to that site, she allowed me to go there for the 3 days she had me in overflow. I still am required to move 3 more times to complete my 1 month stay. The campground bath houses are dirty with slime in the showers and some of toilets have been out of service. This is the worst campground I have ever stayed at in my 3 years of RVing. Management needs to come to the campground unannounced and see the condition of this campground and address the people they have working here.

The campground is very nice and homey. The host and hostess are really a breath of fresh air. Janice and Dave go out of their way to help you if you have a problem along with organizing a lot of activities for the campers to get involved with. If you’re bored in this campground, it’s you’re own fault. From daily fires at the center of the campground (usually cornhole and bocci ball games going on) to cookouts for breakfast, lunch or just a bunch of campers going out. It’s a good time. Looking forward to my next visit. The restrooms are dated but clean.

The rates just increased 5-1-22. daily $26.00, week $168.00, Monthly $504.00. That is about a 20% increase. A dog park area now has a gate and a table to set at. Be careful, there is a few small openings that a small dog can get out. The new park on the East side of the Base is still not done.

This CG has a huge potential to be a great if the AF would spend some money to upgrade it. We stayed there for one night. It seems to have lots of homesteading going on. Staff were fine for the most part. The CG host was somewhat helpful. He seemed not to care too much. There are lots of maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Our site was not bad to get a 44ft 5th wheel into, but the power pedestal had been hit by another camper in the past and was leaning over. Water is good and has lots of pressure. Make sure you have a regulator. I was able to set mine for 55 PSI easy. Power quality was fine. No issue with any legs. The directions listed from another user are fine to get into the place. . Watch for low hanging trees. I found another way in. Some corners were tight, but not too much of an issue. The price is not bad at all. Very quiet at night. I would like to see some money put in for upgrades. This CG has so much to offer if they did. Over all it was not the worst place in the world, but could be better. For using as an overnight or couple days stay its fine if you cant find another place to stay at. I would only return if I really needed to. If they were to upgrade the CG then I would come back.

This review is for the NEW famcamp being built. It is still under construction but looks great so far. No word on when it will be open but it is much easier to drive a big rig to, right off I-110.

The only positives about this Famcamp are: location and staff friendliness. Otherwise this is the most disgraceful representation of a military facility we've ever encountered. We've stayed at Famcamps across the country and this place is an utter embarrassment for the military community. The restrooms are disgusting, the grass has not been cut in at least a month, no trimming has been done in even longer, there are numerous rigs that do not conform to established MWR rules, and there is a general appearance of neglect and degeneration. Homesteaders and a site that has 2 motorcycles, a golf cart, and assorted bicycles strewn about should not be tolerated as per MWR guidelines. Even the electric service need attention: The 30 amp service next to our site was inoperable. Whomever is responsible for MWR activities on this base should be embarrassed as well as disciplined and relieved from the position due to their negligence and incompetence regarding the management here. Simple maintenance and repairs could remedy this horrible campground. Our service members deserve better than this slap in the face.

Worst facilities, nasty bathrooms, no AC. Mowing only done in front part of park. Less than desirable rigs allowed. Grass so high, it's dangerous with no dog station and ditch closed for erosion. Very dangerous for little kids. None of the supervisors available for a discussion. Camp host is the only good thing about this park. I would give him 100% supervision. Reservations made two months ahead with desire for closer to back and not beside office for a 6 day stay, was told we were transient, moved but to the worst part of the park. Much work needed. So sad to see this after visiting many other famcamp. Have stayed here many times, deterioration was quite evident this trip. Cleanliness and Hospitality are two different reviews..not fair to such a wonderful camp host. 1 fir cleanliness, 5 for camp host. Left a day early...just undesirable for one more day. Trucks and cars parked on grass behind rigs, visually difficult to back out.

We’ve camped in FAMCAMPs across the US. This famcamp rates no more than a 2.5. Laundry facilities were typical. Bath house was typical. However, this famcamp, overall, was seriously disappointing. Our campsite #21 was the WORST campsite we’ve ever camped on. Pad was unusable bc large cement poles, on hook-up side were too high to extend the slide. Therefore, we we had to camp in the grass to extend slides on both sides, where a huge electric box takes up 1/3 of the awning area. We could not sit under the awning of use the picnic table. The electric box also blocked use of 2 storage bins. Exit road is very narrow. Grass was long and needed trimming. Dead branches were everywhere. If properly maintained, this famcamp has the potential to be a much better facility. The BEST and only thing going for this famcamp is the price.

Hard to get reservation due to having to leave voicemail. Phone rarely answered by human. Site was nice enough except for the ant invasion. Not near level. Some sites cannot be accessed by 32 ft Class C. Staff friendly when you can find them. Tried to stay twice in 2021, but nothing available.

We were overall very with this Famcamp until we went to use showers near our site (across the bridge and up the hill). I thought the men's room was bad, especially the showers: dirty, especially floors, handicap shower not suited to wheelchair - room to get in and maneuver but fixed shower head unreachable by someone in a wheel chair and no detachable shower heads for handicap use, missing soap dish. My wife told me the women's shower was as bad or worse, including broken handicap rails with sharp edges. Dirty and buggy not to mention the sign "showers are a privilege not a right, clean up after yourself."

We attempted to stay here but were not able to fit into the only spot they had available. We had reservations and told them we had a 37 foot rig. We did not tell them how tall our rig was (never had to before) and that was the problem. The spot had branches right over the pad that were just above eye level with me sitting in the driver's seat of our Class A motorhome (overall height: 13 feet 2 inches). I doubt a small travel trailer would have the height clearance to get in there. We arrived right after the office closes and the camp host was great in trying to help us out but they were completely full so there wasn't anything he could do. We ended up going to Shields and should have done that from the start. The drive into the famcamp is pretty tight but passable for big rigs. Quite a few sites are nowhere near level so bring leveling blocks. If you want Internet or cable you will have to get a Verizon jetpack and cable box from the office. There is a $100 deposit for each. There is only a limited number of each device so you may be out of luck when you arrive. We did speak to the office the next day and they apologized and also told me that they are building a new famcamp on base. He didn't say where it was or when it would be ready but he did say it was close to being ready to open.

Although the description doesn't indicate it, Keesler FamCamp IS big rig friendly! There are lots of big rigs here, including ours. The street getting into the campground is narrow, but very doable. Also, there IS wifi available. You can rent a Verizon Jetpack from the office for a $100 deposit that is fully refundable when you turn it back on. The data you use is completely free. We rented one and the service has been excellent. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a 5th wheel.

Camp host is quite rude and autocratic. His unsolicited "help" when office was closed conflicted with arrangements made with reservations. Seems to make up new rules as required to flaunt his authority. My 40 foot coach towing was not large enough to occupy one of our favorite unreserved spaces.

The directions say to turn east on Atkinson Road, but there are low tree branches across the first part of Atkinson. The safe route is to stay on Popps Ferry road to Pass Road, take a left (east) to Jim Money Road, take a left (north) on Jim Money (by the Post Office) back to Atkinson Road where you take a right (east) until you get to the FamCamp. They are also reducing the office hours to 9-4 on weekdays and 9-12 on weekends. They have installed recycling can near the dumpsters. They still are having electrical problems on some of the sites on the west side of the camp.

I've been here for about 2 weeks now. The electrical posts are a major issue! Since I have been here, three units have experienced major electrical issues because of deferred or a complete lack of maintenance on the electrical posts. All three units have had their unit inverters fried because of this lack of maintenance, including me. The bathroom facility scenario seems to have been resolved with a new camp host. He is doing the cleaning himself to ensure the facilities are acceptable.

Like others in this forum, I agree with the condition of the Bathhouse/shower facility at the front of the park, totally UNSAT! However, I've found the rest of the park to be well-cared for and maintained. Yes, some of the electric boxes and posts need to be swapped out, or updated; and, the recycling area could use a rejuvenation, of sorts. But, for the most part, I love the location and proximity to the base, parks, sights, and everything else! What I wonder though, is how many people who have responded negatively about things, bothered to submit an ICE Report? It's that icon on here that reads, capital ICE. Just click on it and follow the prompts!

The actual GPS address is 2003 Atkinson Rd, Biloxi, MS 39531. The road through the campground is tight as others have noted, our 26 ft Classic GMC had no issues but a larger bus would, ask for a spot in the front of the campground if you are in a larger rig. The bathrooms were clean but definitely in need of repair, the sink was cracked and the shower head holder was broken. Insist that the clerk signs you out a MiFi ($100 deposit) or you will have no WiFi. The grass was mowed while we were there but it was pretty high before then.
